What Are Lip Fillers?

Our lip fillers are injectable treatments that we offer our Phoenix area patients, designed to add volume to, improve symmetry of, and enhance the overall shape of their lips.

Most fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that occurs naturally in our bodies and attracts moisture to keep tissues hydrated and plump.

At CraftMD, fillers are carefully placed to create results that complement your facial features while preserving natural movement and expression. The treatment can smooth out fine lines around the mouth, restore volume lost with age, or provide a boost in fullness for a refreshed, youthful appearance.

Who Are the Best Candidates For Lip Fillers?

The best candidates for our lip filler treatment are adults in good overall health who want to enhance their lips without undergoing surgery.

You may be a good candidate if you notice thinning lips, asymmetry, or lines around the mouth that you would like to smooth. Lip fillers are also ideal for younger patients who have always wanted fuller lips or a more defined lip border.

During your consultation at CraftMD, your goals and medical history will be reviewed to make sure this treatment is right for you. To schedule your appointment, call the office at (602) 786-6975.

What Are the Benefits of Lip Fillers?

Our fillers can enhance our clients’ lip shape, refine the definition along the borders of their lips, and bring balance to the face’s proportions.

Many of our patients appreciate how quickly they can see results, often leaving their appointment with noticeable improvement. Another benefit they love is the flexibility; our lip fillers can be adjusted over time, allowing you to maintain or refine your look as your preferences change.

And, since hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the body, the treatment is safe and well-tolerated, with results that typically last six to twelve months.

What’s the First Step?

The first step toward lip fillers is scheduling a consultation at CraftMD in Scottsdale. You’ll meet with either Dr. Randall Craft or Dr. Matthew Andersen to discuss your goals and learn more about our treatment process.

You’ll also be able to review filler options and see how the procedure can be customized to your features.

What to Expect on the Day of Lip Fillers Treatment

To start, a numbing cream will be applied to minimize any discomfort you may feel during injections, though they’re quite painless.

Dr. Craft or Dr. Andersen will then mark and assess the lips to guide the precise placement of the filler. After that, the filler is injected in small amounts to gradually build volume and refine the shape.

Your appointment should take less than an hour, and most of our patients are able to return to their usual activities right after.

Lip Fillers Recovery

Some of our CraftMD patients may experience mild swelling, redness, or slight bruising at their injection sites; however, this is typically nothing to worry about, as it usually improves within a few days. Most also feel comfortable resuming work or social activities right away.

To reduce swelling, applying a cool compress can help, and avoiding strenuous exercise for 24 hours is recommended.

The results should become clear quickly, with your final look becoming apparent within a week.
